______

[Also released as: "Cage of Doom"]

Another of those movies with a plot that sounds wonderful when synopsized. Consider this one.

Several scientists on an island are playing around with a time machine which brings objects back from the future. They retrieve several interesting souvenirs: a cat with four eyes and a disfigured woman with glittering, hypnotic fingernails.

The lady needs men to help her build up the dwindling populace of the future (shades of "Devil Girl from Mars"). Salome Jens is the future woman (in her screen debut). She hypnotizes John Stratton into going back to the future with her, but Ward Costello wants to destroy her because she has contaminated the present with her radiation.

The special effects include some cartoon-animation bubbles which float around during the time machine's operation.

Directed by Robert Gurney, Jr. American International Pictures just loved to sneak in little promos for their other movies, so watch for a scene in which a couple goes to a theater where "I Was a Teenaged Frankenstein" is playing. (In Bert I. Gordon's "Attack of the Puppet People" John Agar and his girl friend go to a drive-in to see "The Amazing Colossal Man").

Another movie that I found to be totally totally satisfying. I recorded it on VHS a long time ago, and the tape deteriorated and I threw it away.

Never on TV. I remember Butch posting on the old All Sci-fi that it is no longer shown on TV, for some copyright reason.

This is one of the few pictures from this movie I could find. Hopefully somebody else will have better luck.

Excellent find. I never expected to see this movie again. I looked for it for years and finally stop looking.

Bud and I watched this movie together by synchro-chat and it was a big disappointment. The lead actress, Joyce Holden, was very good and very quirky. She was easily the best thing about the movie. Here is a picture of Joyce Holden that Bud sent me through Facebook chat. I am very happy that Bud found this movie on YouTube.

Not one of the pictures I found really seemed to do her justice. She was such a girly, flirty, teasing sweetie.

A picture doesn't let us enjoy all her lovely feminine gestures.

As Bulldogtrekker stated above, he and I watched this movie back in 2017 while we chatted, but I can't remember much the film.

The download we used is not on the current laptop I'm using, and the YouTube version isn't very good. But I sampled a few scenes of the scientists in their lab, and I was impressed with the dialog when they discussed the way they were "trading" objects with a civilization in the future!

I'll think I'll watch it again sometime soon. It might give me some ideas for an "imaginary sequel" or a remake. Very Happy
