And what does this suggest to me?

It makes me wonder just how hard it would be to round up enough ice-bearing asteroids and comets in the solar system to bombard that useless planet called Mars to completely cover it in water and turn it into something useful to mankind!

After all, that dry and totally dead little piece of rock has been tempting mankind to terraform it for a hundred years, despite the fact that our best efforts would produce a small piece of real estate as worthless as Death Valley! Shocked

But if Mars were enveloped in water, it would at least be a reliable reservoir of H2O which could serve the mining colonies throughout the asteroid belt!

Think of it as an orbiting "gas station" that would travel around the sun and provide a valuable source of hydrogen, oxygen, and liquid water for the space-based colonies and the mining facilities within the asteroid belt.

What do you think, guys? Have I finally found a good use for that dead little ball of rock called Mars? Very Happy
