Is there anyone else who has a story about their avatar?

Or, let me know why you don't have an avatar.

My avatar is the rocket on the launching ramp from the 1937 German film Weltraumschiff 1 startet (Spaceship 1 Launches). Effects footage from this film was later incorporated into the animated TV series The Space Explorers.
