Birds want to poop in water to hide their scent from predators.

However, the scientist in me must ask this question.

How can this theory be tested? Confused

After all, it's hard to imagine a bird flying around looking for a good place to poop that hungry predators won't find! And if a bird poops while in fight and flies away, the stinky scent of it's feces on the ground doesn't tell the predators anything . . . other than a bird flew over!

My theory is that birds just poop whenever and wherever they get the urge. The recipients of these unwanted gifts from heaven above are just . . . unlucky. Sad
