I read about these back in the 80s, it was originally designed for artillery cannon to use on a battlefield. They would lower the cannon barrel to aim straight down the battlefield. Load the shell, fire and flame the battlefield. The U.S. Military rejected it, because they found it to be too unpredictable and destructive!
Then some enterprising person decided that a scaled down version would make a good novelty round for a shotgun. Didn't know that they were still making them.

Anybody can do the shotgun. Replace the shot with #60 axle grease. |
