Just finished listening to this one and it's a terrific! The story is about a research ship on a planet that seems to be extremely Earthlike -- but there seems to be no animals or insects.

It turns out there this is one life form -- a mimic that can imitate inanimate objects that become very animated when they attack members of the crews. A two-eyepiece microscope tries to choke a man, and a pair of gloves forces a crewman to turn his pistol on himself.

The video includes several illustrations from the story on which the program was based. Here they are.

_______

Near the end, the crew tries to kill the aliens with poison gas. Great story . . . and you won't be disappointed by the conclusion.
