This self-driving car is SO much like the ones shown in Disney's Magic Highyway USA — in the important ways, at least.

If you doubt my statement, watch this video.

Thin tires for an uncomfortable ride. Low ground clearance, so the undercarriage will be trashed by potholes, or the mini-mountains that pass for speed bumps nowadays. That is if it even makes it over the speed bump, and doesn't get hung up on it. Poor visibility out of the front windshield, real good for manual driving. Powered doors that open at a glacial pace, ensuring that you will be thoroughly soaked, even in a drizzle. No, or minimal trunk space. No seat belts, or airbags. Yeah, good luck getting that pass Uncle Sam's Nanny State. They'll probably have a problem with the swiveling seats also.

David.

Self-driving cars? When they pry my steering wheel and my manual shift from my cold, dead hands!
